Since the theme of account security keeps surfacing, and seeing as it plays such a large role in our MMORPGs we've compiled some guidelines and tips on how to keep your account secure.
A secure password is an important step to assure at least a minimal level of security. But more important is that you use various passwords. The risk of your account being taken over by third parties is greatly reduced if your account password is unique and not used for anything else. The same also applies to your forum account.
The following tips can be used to make your account even more secure:

Use at least 6 characters in your password
Use a mixture of upper- and lower-case letters
Use at least one number in your password
Do not visit any websites which advertise services such as levelling or the transfer of in-game gold
Do not use proper nouns - words you can find in the dictionary, or a list of letters as they appear on the keyboard such as 'qwerty' or '12345'
Always keep your computer updated i.e. drivers and windows updates because system security flaws are regularly fixed in patches/hotfixes

Do not give your login details to others, even to relatives, friends or members of your guild, because there is always the risk that they may be passed onto third parties. Giving your login details to others is also an infringement of Frogster Online Gaming GmbH's General Terms and Conditions.
It is vitally important that you regularly scan your computer for viruses, keyloggers, spyware and other malware with an antivirus program of your choice. But make sure to regularly update your antivirus program with the latest virus definitions.
Employees from our support department will never attach files to their emails. If you should receive an email asking you to open an attached document or something similar then the email was not sent by us.
If you have good reason to believe that your account is no longer secure e.g. another person has access to your account or you think it has been hacked, please contact support. Try to give as much information as possible e.g. the first time you noticed the problem, so that the situation can be quickly investigated and resolved.
